Client Brief:
Lovell Homes tasked me with photographing their recently completed development in Torquay. These homes, designed for social housing, required a mix of exterior and interior shots to highlight their thoughtful design, high-quality finishes, and overall appeal. The client specifically requested a sample set of interiors from the six blocks of 1- and 2-bedroom apartments, totalling 43 apartments, while also ensuring all exterior shots of the development were covered.
Project Execution:
This project combined aspects of property photography, architectural photography, to create a comprehensive visual story. For the interiors, I focused on capturing bright and spacious living areas, beautifully finished kitchens, and attention to detail in the flooring, walls, and overall finishes. Using a tripod and off-camera techniques, I created polished images that emphasised the finer details and quality of the homes.
For the exteriors, I was fortunate to have great weather, which allowed me to photograph the properties in the best light. I worked to highlight not just the buildings but also their surroundings, including the street furniture, garden areas, and how the homes fit seamlessly into their environment.
With a lot to cover, I spent much of the day chasing the sun to ensure every block was photographed at its best. It’s always a pleasure to document thoughtfully designed spaces that provide comfort and quality for the community.
